FICTIONAL SERVICE AND MARGIN WORKSHOP All records, businesses and amounts are constructed teaching data. INR is a unit, not a tax or fee schedule. channel-inputs.csv: one row per channel. Orders are whole counts in the same period; all other columns are INR per order. Starting price excludes pass-through taxes and customer fees outside restaurant revenue. Merchant discount is subtracted once. Variable costs = ingredients + packaging + incremental handling + platform cost + campaign cost. Net revenue = starting price - merchant discount. Contribution = net revenue - variable costs. Ratio = contribution/net revenue, undefined at zero revenue. Period values multiply by orders; period margin divides summed contribution by summed net revenue, never an unweighted average of ratios. Fixed expenses of INR20,000 apply to the baseline period, not to each order or each channel. After-stated-fixed = period contribution - fixed expenses; not complete net profit. cash-week.csv: opening row is the initial balance, not a receipt. Add remaining signed events once in day order. No same-day sequence exists in this sample. The cash case is separate from the channel case, not a reconciliation between them. expected-results.csv: baseline answers and units. Display rounding does not change the integer-cent calculations. The optional calculated-channel CSV exports channel values only; record fixed expenses separately. These files are not platform exports and are not settlement-analyser uploads. Reuse: copy/adapt our fictional CSVs and illustrations with attribution to Food Data Extractor.
